Hey everyone, I'm not too skilled with computers but I have been having issues with an older laptop for a while now so I figured I'd ask for some help here.

Basically I have had issues in the past with this but starting up from the OS CD and reinstalling the OS worked in the past. However after a shut down I am not stuck in a start up loop even when trying safe mode. When I try to start up with the OS CD the same thing happens and it brings me to a blue screen saying I have a hard disk issue. Would anyone be able to help? I can post pictures of the screen if needed.

Thank you in advance!

The laptop can stil be fixed, you just need to buy a new hard drive for it..

Basically the old drive is full of bad sectors now, which could be caused by being full or constantly transferring large files..

Very common problem for old drives..
