I installed a 2GB DDRII instead of that of 1GB DDRII(when I had 3 GB), and now, says the same as that time : 4GB RAM (2.75GB usable).
I have 64-bit software and 64x-based processors

I'm assuming you have a 32-bit OS. The 32-bit OS's can't read a full 4GB, and sometimes say either 2.75GB usable, 3.5GB usable or something like that. If you want to full utilize that memory, it's best you upgrade to a 64-bit OS.
