hi guys
i have a asus m5a78l -m/usb3 motherboard and a amd bulldozer fx -4 quad core 4130 black edition 3.80ghz processor also have 16gb ram
and i was wondering if the asus strix gtx970 would bottleneck and if it did how bad would it be?

also on win 7 64bit

At first I would say no but the single core performance is just under that of the FX 8350. It will not perform as good as the 8350 in multicore games. But it is worth a try. if you OC the cpu it will help. If you can afford an 8350 do it. But it is woth a try.

It is always a risk. But if you have the right equipment an educate yourself first. Then get with an overclocking Fprum
you will be ok. Stay away from auto overclocking and software overclocking. Not good.
Your m5a78l -m board is not good for overclocking. The Gigabyte GA 970 UD3P is.
