SAMSUNG Ssd 840 evo, bad?

Hi everyone

So i just got a new 840 evo, which shows up in my bios, but it is not shown anywhere in windows, not even in device manager or the disk manager.

I have put in a new drive before, and there it did show up in the disk manager :/

Windows 8.1
Asus z68 v-pro
connect to the same sata controller as my old 830pro(?) ssd

So anyone can point out what i missed ?

It was not showing in there, and i did find the problem.

The problem was that my motherboard was set to use raid.

My setup was with:
sata1_6g = 250gb samsung ssd
sata2_6g = 500gb samsung ssd - the new drive
sata3_3g = 2tb - harddrive

So before i connect the new drive i could see all the drives in windows, but once i connected the new ssd, i could only see sata1 and sata3 drives, once the raid mode was disabled i could also see sata2 - not sure why it would act this way, since sata1 was showing up :/
