are there any certain features you need? and if you are going to have a graphics card then i would suggest a 990 but its not necessary. it depends on what you are doing with it, but that motherboard will be compatible with that cpu

you will get more features with a 990 and you will be able to crossfire/sli (using 2 graphics cards) better, but if you are using just one card you should be fine with this board. for upgradability go for a 990, if that isn't important to you then you should be good with this.

i am an amd fan and i have an amd 8 core and i haven't had a single problem with it, if you go with intel you will have to go with a different motherboard

It is on the support list on the Gigabyte website, so it will work. If you want to overclock, I wouldn't recommend that motherboard.
