i was building my new pc and putting parts where they should be , i was placing the heatsink on my intel haswell i3 processor, but still did not lock it in place, then i realize that the cpu fan pins were out of reach of its connector so readjusted it so it can reach the cpu fan pins..my concern is that the thermal paste already touched the processor and i removed the heatsink so i can readjust it near to the cpu fan pins then i lock it in place...will that be a problem with my processor temp?

Well on my 3770k I get around 45-60c when idle, and sometimes up to 85c when gaming, but I don't think your 4160 will get quite that high. The thermal paste, when the heatsink is applied with pressure, will spread out naturally anyway, and will even its self out. It's still covering the centre of the processor so it will be fine :)
