Which CPU should I buy?

Solution
I beg to differ.. I have 2 identical towers one with an i3 with HT and one with the same GHZ I3 without HT same gpu, psu, monitor, mobo. my HT pc performs better in games that utilize cpu more than gpu like world of warcraft. I have played side by side with my son on the same graphics settings and see about 5-10 fps more just with that change. but again like I said if going to OC get the Pentium and go I5 later. but if not overall the I3 is a better processor hands down if not OC'ing and not upgrading soon.

not only is the I3 slightly faster but it also has hyperthreading and if you are gaming this will help. forget OC on that Pentium get the I3 and play it as is if not jumping to an I5 soon.... if you want an I5(the flagship gaming cpu) in the next year go with the Pentium and save the other money towards the I5.... hope this helps

Hyperthreading does not make games' performance better. Only other programs that use them. The i3 performance is comparable to the Pentium G3258 one.

The Pentium G3258 is a better bang for buck because if overclocked, can perform almost as an i7 can on single-threaded programs, like games.
