Hi everyone I want to find an average of everyone's temps for the fx 8350 . That's with using core temp or hwmonitor or your motherboards cd software. So I can compare . Thanks

Solution

@coretemp
thats the value which hwmonitor reads out as "package temp"

this is the core temp of the cpu but not an actual sensor
this value...

What voltages have you set in your BIOS?

If you havent done anything in your BIOS and the clocks/voltages are untouched, my other PC might help you. It has a FX 8350 in it with stock cooling and idle temps usually sit around 32-37 degrees and under load can get anywhere to around 59 degrees. I do have good case cooling so if you are going to use stock cooler, be sure to have good case cooling.

I hope I have helped :)

I have an FX-8350 and in my experience, the Coretemp application does not work properly. It tells me I have an idle temp of like 5 degrees Celsius, which is impossible. The seemingly most accurate temp monitor I have found is "Open Hardware Monitor." It allows one to track temps of your CPU, GPU, and pretty much anything with a sensor.

To answer your original question. My idle temp is around 28 to 33 degrees Celsius and under load (i.e., gaming in BF4 or Watch dogs), it ranges from 50 to 65 degrees but usually around 55.

I use the Coolermaster Hyper 212 Evo with Arctic Silver thermalpaste

@coretemp

this value is based on a formular and gets accurate at about 35 to 40 degrees celcius

i suggest to use hwmonitor and read out the cpu temp under the motherboard section

this is an actual sensor and measures the socket temp, which is the limiting factor at this cpu because of the high power draw

it usually averages at low to mid 30 degrees celcius and must not be higher than 70 °C under full load

between and/or lower this 70 °C is short and simple considered safe and good to go without risking drawbacks in the cpus lifespan :)
