Abnormally low Battlefield 3 performance?

Hey guys, I built a gaming rig last year and have been about 90% satisfied with it, after all, it was only about a $600 build give or take. I have a little question about BF3 though because prior to purchasing my GPU/CPU and other parts, I looked up Battlefield 3 gameplay for my graphics card that I was looking at and also my cpu, and in the video it showed 60+ fps on ULTRA settings but on my system I barely get 60+ steadily on Medium-Medium low settings.

System:

CPU: AMD FX-6300 @3.4GHz turbo
Graphics: AMD Radeon HD 7770 GHz edition
8GB of 1333 memory.

Why does it feel like my computer just isn't running at it's full capabilities? Any feedback is wonderfully appreciated! :)

You should stick to your monitor's native resolution otherwise things get pretty ugly. If your monitor's native resolution is 1600x900 then fiddle with the game graphics settings and lower things you are willing to sacrifice and set others higher trying to find a good balance of decent graphics and decent performance. It's down to personal preference.

Here is a video that looks more realistic http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=djARjeKagNY

As I already mentioned the owner of the video says:

"...To get that 60+ fps you should be seeking, I recommend playing on medium settings or ideally, custom settings..."

P.S. #Also worth mentioning that his CPU is better than yours too.
It is. The 7770 is a low end card. Theres no way anyone is getting Ultra at 60+ FPS unless it is at 720p or lower. Dont believe everything you see on YouTube, or at least read everything. He may be playing on a lower resolution than you. Who knows you didnt give much info.

Hey,

On 1080p with a HD 7770 you are looking at about 30-35 FPS on Ultra and MSSA OFF.

Not sure what video you've been watching but as vrumor already said it's either a fake or you haven't read all the info about resolution and settings used.

Resolution was 1600x900, same as mine. Video coulda been fake I suppose, but high unlikely I feel like. How does one go about getting 720p or lower? I don't think I'm on 1080p
