i don't know how to do that but I'm stuck on the screen where it says fedora which don't work and i can only use common prompt and edit the fedora which is shown.

i downloaded the fedora to my mac book pro and then using unetbooting put it on usb and then tried it on my sony vaio but i can't load it up is there a way to wipe the whole laptop and then just download the fedora from usb straight to laptop

Well sounds like youre doing it wrong anyway. If you downloaded the Fedora ISO. You dont use or need the command prompt for it

You have to burn it to cd, or use something like rufus http://rufus.akeo.ie/.

So it extracts it to a flash drive. And once its finished you boot from it

what i see right now is
Fedora, with Linux 3.11.10-301.fc20.x86_64
Fedora, with Linux 0-rescue-1319f2430ffe40b6b2f53cfa2b94ee2a

disable secure boot on the Sony Vaio

Get a usb thumb drive

on your macbook:
cd ~/downloads #or whatever directory the iso is in
sudo dd if=3.11.10-301.fc20.x86_64 of /dev/sdX && sync #sdX is the device name of your usb drive, probably it is /dev/sdb

Then plugin the USB drive in to your Vaio, then it should be able to boot Fedora.

Alternatively unetbootin probably will also work if secure boot disbaled(and maybe easier for you than than dd ;) )
