So I have a sli set up (Z97X-SLI) and regardless I want an Sli, so I was looking at sli the 660s is that worth it or what are my other choices? Budget is about £300

I have a 680 GTX that I bought brand new for only $300 that I have a hard time wanting to upgrade so I can understand completely. A part of me wants to SLI it, but to be honest, Then in a few years I will be stuck trying to sell two 680 GTX's which will be worth even less then than they are now. It's like, No sooner than you get a top card, t gets bumped down the ladder and drastically drops in price. I remember it was just a few years ago when I used to have a 580 GTX and I thought that it was amazing. And before that, It was my 480 GTX, and before that my 9800 GTX+.

Hey, if you don't already own one GTX 660 I really can't understand why would you want to waste your money on SLI such cards if you can buy a GTX 970 for about £250-260 which is cheaper, will give you a better performance, will be more stable, will be less power hungry, will emit less heat and is also Direct X 12 compatible.

Mouldread, I agree wholeheartedly. :D

But if someone has their heart set so badly on running cards in SLI, then who am I to judge? I didn't say that running SLI 660's would be the best performance deal versus a 970, as I would prefer the single card as well.

Mouldread makes a better case for your money to performance ratio than a 660's SLI setup.

Haha TStahler,

I understood completely what you were saying and I had no doubts you would recommend a single similar card as the GTX 970 as a better option. I was only trying to push the OP into a direction I would have chosen to take :) (I wish I could sell my 770 which I only bought a few months ago and upgrade to a 970 but I don't really want to spend extra money)
