I'm really interested about memory right now. I have 16gb of memory installed on my computer. Currently I have 10gb of free memory. What can you do with so much memory?
How many facebook windows can I open with 10 GB of memory? e.t.c.
What random programs can I open to take up all the 10gb memory?

Is there a website that you know of that can show me for example..

if you open up the facebook page it takes 0.5 gb of memory on your computer
and so on for others?

Solution

It maintains a copy of frequency and recently accessed files. When an application reads data from a file, rather than loading that data from the disk (which incurs about a 10 millisecond delay each time) it will keep it in memory which allows it to be accessed within only a few hundred nanoseconds at most.

Unallocated memory will automatically be used to build a disk and file cache.
