I have a gaming desktop that I have had since last year. I want to know if there is anything I should try to upgrade to get more power out of it. I'm very happy with its performance now, but I want to see if there is anything to keep me good for the next few years.
Specs:
CPU: FX-6300(not oc)
GPU: HD 7870 His Iceq
HDD: 2T
RAM: 8GB 1600
GPU Cooler: Cooler master seidon 120m liquid cooling
MOBO: GIGABYTE 970A-DS3P (am3+)
PSU: 650w 80+ Bronze
1080P Monitor
I wanted to upgrade my gpu, but I don't want to bottleneck my CPU. I want to upgrade my CPU but I don't know what path to go down. I don't think I will be able to pay for both yet, so which should I do. I was thinking of upgrading my hd 7870 to either a higher hd 7000 series, like a hd 7950 (or an R series), or to a intel 760 or 770. I don't know what will work with my mobo and what will. If I upgrade my CPU, what AMD processor should I get. I heard that the fx-8350 wont improve gaming too much though. I'm so confused on what to do. Any help will be much appreciated!

Solution
You can upgrade to a GTX 970. Much more faster than the HD 7870 and won't bottleneck.

BUT,
What brand is that power supply? If it's a crappy brand, I would upgrade it first before anything else.
