hi guys, just recently my pc got some kind of error or hang and my monitor shows vertical white-greyish lines and the sound is broken. i have to restart my pc to get this error solved. any idea why my pc acting like this ? thanks !! :)

Hello,

have you checked your CPU and GPU temperatures lately (or at all)? You can use HWinfo http://www.hwinfo.com/download.php Download it, start it and run it with a tick on "Sensors Only". Give it 5- 10 min (you can play some game meanwhile) and then take a screenshot of the readings on the CPU and GPU temps. You can upload the screenshot to http://tinypic.com/ or similar website and give us the link to take a look. Or just tell us the min, current and max temps.

Another thing worth mentioning is - it could be a loose cable/connection. Check how well is the cable connected to your monitor and to your GPU.

Hello again,

your temps look absolutely fine.

I guess you could try looking into the cables as I mentioned earlier. Check if the cable connecting the monitor to your GPU is not loose. Also you could try using a different connection. If you are using HDMI cable you could try connecting the monitor via DVI or something.

I was about to suggest updating your drivers but it won't make much sense as you said that after restart the PC works fine. I'm starting to run out of ideas.
