How do I clear the hard drive of win 7

I just got a new hard drive and installed
win7 and some software. Then my motherboard went out. When I install my new motherboard I want to clear the hard drive of OS and software to start new. Can and How do I clean the hard drive after installing the new motherboard?

After you finished installing the new motherboard, boot the system to your Windows 7 DVD and do a full install. One option during that process should be to format the drive/partition. This will clear any previous installation.

When you get to the win7 installation that asks where you want to install, click the advanced drive options link on the lower right. From there you will be able to delete the existing partitions and then proceed with the install. There's no need to create partitions, the install will do that by itself.
