Can the Core 2 Quad q9550 Run Assassins creed Unity? What about if I overclock? Please provide a detailed answer as the help is greatly appreciated.

Solution
Yeah Medium to high is what I would expect, if the fps is lock like all the rumors say then you would be hitting that 30fps mark since 900p isn't all that hard on a system.

Are you saying it will run fine without or with overclocking. And how much fps would you say?

Ram is a little low but your good, you wont hit Ultra high settings but I guess you knew that.

Core 2 Quad Q6600 2.4GHz, GeForce GT 740, 4 GB Ram, 30 GB of hard drive space are the recommended spec. The game will probably run 900p and be locked at 30fps for everyone, Ps4,Xbox One and PC. I haven't seen a reply yet that says the PC will be any different, which is odd. 0.o

thanks for all the info. by the way i dont think that it will be locked at 30 fps on pc. Thats only for consoles and pcs are way more powerful so I think that the pcs will be allowed over 30 fps, but thats just my opinion.

One can hope but Microsoft was demanding they do the same to the PC version. This isn't the first game to lock the FPS to 30 across the board from what I have been reading it makes it easier to program and port to pc. Pc/ Laptop sales have gone way down in the last 5 years, income from pc ports is a fraction of what console versions takes in, it takes them a extra 6 months to a year to come out with a decent port that makes us of PC hardware, Think about how many shitty PC ports are out now.

Holy crap. The system requirements were just realeased for ACU.

Here’s the minimum requirements:

OS: Windows 7 SP1, Windows 8/8.1 (64-bit operating system required)
Processor: Intel Core i5-2500K @ 3.3 GHz or AMD FX-8350 @ 4.0 GHz
Memory: 6 GB RAM
Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 680 or AMD Radeon HD 7970 (2 GB VRAM)
Hard Drive: 50 GB available space
Sound Card: DirectX 9.0c compatible sound card with latest drivers
Additional Notes: Windows-compatible keyboard and mouse required, optional controller

And here’s the recommended specs:

OS: Windows 7 SP1, Windows 8/8.1 (64-bit operating system required)
Processor: Intel Core i7-3770 @ 3.4 GHz or AMD FX-8350 @ 4.0 GHz or better
Memory: 8 GB RAM
Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 780 or AMD Radeon R9 290X (3 GB VRAM)
Hard Drive: 50 GB available space
Sound Card: DirectX 9.0c compatible sound card with latest drivers
Additional Notes: Supported video cards at the time of release: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 680 or better, GeForce GTX 700 series; AMD Radeon HD7970 or better, Radeon R9 200 series — Laptop versions of these cards may work but are NOT officially supported.

There is no flippin way my computer is going to be able to run it.

Thos are some crazy specs, wowwww...much more than anyone suspected.

Processor
Minimum
Intel Core i5-2500K @ 3.3 GHz or AMD FX-8350 @ 4.0 GHz or AMD Phenom II x4 940 @ 3.0 GHz
GTX 680 or AMD Radeon HD 7970

Your q9550 is right between the FX-8350 and PhenomII X4 940. Overclock if you can I think most of those chip are stable at around 3.5ghz, anything after that and its a shot in the dark.

How do you think that it will perform with the Gtx 760 evga?

Other games had High specs like this at launch and they ran just fine, I don't think you will have a issue. At the least will have to tone down then settings, None of the 3 systems I have meets those specs BTW but I will not cancel my preorder nor will I run out and drop $300 on a new GPU.

Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor had insanely high requirements at prelaunch and people play it on I3's, Pentiums and lower end Phenoms with 750TI's just fine now.

A oced Quad q9550 still could play any well-threaded game.

Seriously, no. They're setting hte bar very high. Based on the i7 recommendation, it would look like they're also multi-threading. That would be a big dent in the ego of those guys always going round talking about the 8-core AMD processors. Now they will see where the rubber meets the road. Not that I hate AMD, but a lot of weird stuff gets said about the high-end AMD processors vs the high-end Intel processors.

You think?

If Ubisoft could, don't you think they'd lower the minimum specs? When last was it fun to play any game at or below minimum specs?

This is just Ubisoft playing safe: If people complain about phase 5.1.3b low fps they still could say they told us a supercomputer was required. And 8-core AMD processors are like 4-core Intel processors as far as games are concerned.
