Hey all,

I have been thinking about this for a while since I wanted to get started to be more serious about PC gaming and I did some research on whether I should buy a pre-built gaming PC from Best Buy but I heard that it would be cheaper if I build my own so yeah, I want to build a Micro-ATX build for gaming instead of an Full ATX though. I also found case that maybe would be good? Leave some comments on it please, anyways here is the format for asking for a build.

Approximate Purchase Date:
December 2014 - January 2015

Budget Range:
$1000 Max, everything included.

System Usage from Most to Least Important:
Gaming, streaming, photo/video editing, school work

Are you buying a monitor:
No I am not, I have a small TV that I can use for now.

Parts to Upgrade:
None, starting from scratch.

Do you need to buy OS:
Yes, cannot pick between Windows 7 - Windows 8.1 Though, whatever is best (future proof too?)

Preferred Website(s) for Parts:
Does not matter, cheaper websites?

Location:
Escondido, CA, USA

Parts Preferences:
I always liked Intel CPU's so Intel (if AMD is better then I guess AMD, just want the best I can get with my budget)

Overclocking:
Maybe, not now, in the future.

SLI or Crossfire:
Maybe, not anytime soon, not even next year though.

Your Monitor Resolution:
1920x1080 Samsung LN19A451C1D

Additional Comments:
I would like it to run BF4, DayZ, and League of Legends at Ultra/high Settings with no problem.
Also, maybe a cheap SSD for booting up faster? If my budget is not enough then it is fine.

And Most Importantly, Why Are You Upgrading:
I want to get more into PC gaming since my friends are getting into it and leaving consoles.

Thanks for all the feedback, I have to go soon so I might not reply quickly.

UPDATE: Forgot to link the case I was talking about here it is:

This is a great gaming build:

Seems like a great build, though I heard some problem with EVGA's 970? What is wrong with it?
Thanks.

I believe that only two of the three heat pipes were touching the GPU processor, so there were heat and throttling issues that are fixed now.

Filippi's build hits all the right notes, good enough i5 CPU, decent motherboard, adequate memory, good storage options, great GPU, and solid power supply.

Feel free to swap out the case and check using pcpartpicker.com that you can SLI the motherboard and that the case will take two GTX970s, just in case.

Thanks for the reply, I will check. Also, what should I change EVGA's 970 with?
Thanks again.

Thanks for the build but I guess I just need to swag the 970 from filippi's build with another version because of some heating problems, thanks though.
