If my next 3 year be able to max every title with 60 fps then no. But that's how it has always been. But for what it is you will find that future games will be playable an it just tone down the settings. A few years down the road if you find you want to improve performance the only thing you may have to do is upgrade the GPU. You CPU is solid and that's fine also i do like what cherokeelakes said about the SSD that is the one thing that will not change in the next few years.

Tough to say what technology will emerge in the next 3 years. We already have DDR4 and next gen intel processors in the horizon.

I would say it will be good for a couple years at least. And drop that 280 and get a GTX 970 if it fits your budget. A lot more bang for the buck.

Like those before me have said, its hard to tell for certain what the playing field will look like in 3 years. I'd say you should be fine though. If its in your budget, it might be worth upgrading to an SSD. I recently upgraded to an Asus RAIDR Express, and the difference in framerate has been phenomenal, not to mention better loading times.
