Hi folks

So, got my extender cable to relocate my graphic card, and something weird happened.

I removed the video card fromPCI-e 2nd slot, to the main one, via the cable, the computer boots no problem, but windows show no drivers for the video card. So it install new drivers and then reboot.

Everything comes up, no problems, until the card is recognized...then the driver started to crash, with a message saying that the drive stopped to work and it was restored, followed by another hang, black screen and again the error message, until everything was black and the monitor went off.

So I told myself that maybe the issue is with the cable, or the drivers...I suspect that windows did not use the Nvidia drivers that I have, but downloaded its own drivers; creating a conflict. Can't tell.

Tried to boot again, and I get one long beep and 3 short, with no POST, which means that I have RAM problems.....NOT :) Move the video card and the cable a bit and finally it boots up again, but I get any video so far. I just turned off to check the cable.

I am checking the cable and it looks really poorly made; I suspect that some contacts are shortening, causing these problems.

Altho I don't get why the bios was telling me about memory problems...a fluke? Should I avoid to use this cable or there is a problem elsewhere, that the cable just helped to bring it to the surface?
