would you provide details of computer (os and version), smartphone (apple, android), what type of internet (cable, fios, dsl), make/model of router/modem, setup of wireless (dhcp, static, etc), does the issue of connection problems start at same interval (meaning works fine until something else also tries to connect, time of day, etc)

edit: next time issue can you try to ping something and see if you get any response regardless of ms time it took

If you are renting the modem and router from the ISP call them and have them check. Seems like your router or modem is not working properly. If you have your own router, check for a firmware update for it, there should be an option for that in the config page.

thanks for the prompt reply guys. my specs
-Alienware 14
-windows 8
-smartphone android ( although my friends iphone also cannot connect)
-I think im using either DSL or Cable ( not sure which one)
-Its not because of limit, bcause when im alone the problem sometimes happen

For hang the 9 answer, I think its not modem or router problem. last time our old modem behavve the same thing and we bought a new modem hwever the problem still persist. N yes, its our own router.

I think its more of the connection problem.

as hang-the-9 says, make sure firmware is up to date.

What type of router do you have, dual band, G N or AC?
Are you using dhcp and if so is the range set to allow all devices to connect (meaning is the range sufficient for the amount of devices and do not forget any printers or other items)
What type of security are you using WEP, WPA, do you have WPS enabled and did you connect that way (this shouldn't affect things)

Im kinda a noob when coming to things like router, but i tried learning through google n correct me if I am wrong.

-I dont know what type because my Aunt frget where she puts the box. This is the link to our router http://www.zyxel.com/products_services/p_660hn_f1a.shtml?t=p

-Firmware is up to date

-DHCP enabled, but i dont know how to check it, can u tell me?

-WEP security no WPA

N when troubleshoot, it says connection to between your access point router or cable modem and the internet is broken.
Restarting the modem can fix this hwever the problem will happen again and again

well i can see two possible problems

1) the zyxel you listed is a adsl+2 gateway (meaning modem and router combined or at least gateway does for cable internet). Are you using a seperate modem and this gateway connected to each other?

2) you should definitely switch to wpa2 unless you have a legacy device that will not go over wep because (a) the security is extremely weak with wep and (b) some newer devices i have seen reject using wep because of that. If you want to change to wpa2 my recomendation to make it easier would be to change the ssid (network name) to something different (you could even just a 1 to the end of the name) so that you do not have to forget or change properties of the stored wifi network information (you said you were new and not busting for that just trying to make it easier)

but if you do have a seperate modem and this zyxel that may be your issue right there but if you do i do not think it is as easy as just change the cord. There are a couple of steps you may need to take

-no, we only have this router in our house. However, there are 2 wifi giving out by this router, 1 with high signal and another 1 is our old wifi but it have low signal( low bar).
-ok but ill have to wait to change the security

I had search the internet,Later ill try to connect the wifi using cable to my laptop to see if its a router or connection problem.

so you have both routers running at same time? do they have the same ssid? Are they connected to each other and trying to use one as a bridge or repeater?

If they both have same name and password and one is connected to dsl line and internet and other isn't the devices do not care if connected to internet and will at times switch to the stronger signal regardless if can connect to internet....if that makes sense
