My desktop is making a grinding noise

My desktop is making a grinding noise and at first I thought it was my hard drive but I downloaded Hard Disk Sentinel and it's telling my that my hard drive Performance and Health is 100% and that the remaining lifetime is more than 886 days. Could it still be my hard drive or is this software right and my hard drive is 100% okay.

Hi there billybob234,

Some physical hard drive problems may not be detected by software. In order to be sure whether the HDD is making the noise, you can just take it out of the casing and leave it outside(still attached). After that you can just turn on your computer and see whether the noise comes from the drive.
If the noise comes from your drive, back up your data as soon as possible.

I'm 70% sure it is the HDD. So is Clonezilla the way to go when backing up data and is there any good tutorials to help me out. This is the best one I could fine www.youtube.com/watch?v=R8qig2-vxqk
