Be sure to check with the service provider that provides the adsl line rental (not sure if that apples to your country, I'm from South Africa). My friend also stayed not too far away from town and the main isp (Telkom) cut his line because ''your line is being due to the fact that your area is not generating the minimum income that is required for us to keep the service in your area'' So check with different isp's if you can.
The faster your internet the better. The best way to connect your PS4 to the internet would be with an ethernet cable connected to your router or a homeplug, but you can also use Wi-fi, it will just lag more (because of higher ping)
OK I would not say the fastest but I would say around 12-18 Mbps. I run 2 xbox 360s and stream netflix in HD all at the same time on a 18 Mbps connection and never have any lag. But I do agree with using a cable you will get better performance using the ethernet cable vs. wifi.
