Hello guys, so i'm planning to buy a new gpu for my rig (a8-5600k, 4gb 1366, 450w). Found a few ones for my money: HD7790, r9 270, r9 270x. My Resolution is 1360x768, So, basically will 7790 be enough for gaming (its the cheapest one) or should i go for r9 270 or 270x (costs just a few bucks more). And another thing is i definitely need a new PSU for r9 270, but will my PSU handle the 7790? Thanks

if you dont mind buying a new psu then go ahead woth an r9 270x. never hurts to splurge a bit just in case you want to buy a new cpu+mobo combo in the near future. for 768p gaming, an r7 260x will be plenty enough for the task and its 2gb vram is quite useful since a lot of games gets pretty choppy using high texture settings on 1gb vram. plus you wont be needing to upgrade your psu if you go with the 260x. if you want to go with nvidia then the geforce 750ti is a solid choice considering that it'll play ball with your psu anytime of day with its low power requirements. its going to be a little bit pricier than the 260x though.

so, if I don't want to buy a new PSU I should go for r7 260x? Thing is I have a shitty 450w PSU without 6pin slot and I kinda doubt it could juice an r7 260x. So, should I go for an r7 260x or go for GTX 750 which costs the same but don't require 6pin slot? Whats the performance difference between them? And will I be able to play newest games on high settings with 750?

buy sapphire's 260x. it comes with a 6pin to molex converter which will enable you to use it even if your psu doesnt have its own 6pin. and don't worry about your psu being 450w. its plenty enough for a 260x.
