PCIe SSD as boot drive

I have an X58 socket 1366 MB and will be trying to build a video editing system using a fusion-io dou PCIe SSD. Has anyone been able to build a Windows system with a PCIe SSD as the boot drive? Did the BIOS recognize the drive? Did windows install without special storage drivers?

Thank you, I have the EVGA X58 SLI3 which is listed by OCZ, I will see if the BIOS recognizes the Fusion-IO board.

i'm using with a x58-usb3 with pcie gen2 x4 +xp941 256gb doesn't boot (or recognized by bios).
Windows see the drive but can't boot without drivers, but it can used by os as a spare disk, a very very fast disk...atto read at 2gb second and 130k iops
