Hi guys,
Has anyone else tried using the corsair sp 120 fans on a h100i?
I seem to be getting temps 15C higher than the stock fans.
I know the stock fans have a much higher RPM but I heard that the temp difference would be a lot less.
Also should the RPM one the SPs be constant?

Cheers

Noctua NF-F12 fans are the quietest, best performing radiator fans around. Newegg.com has them on sale right now.

Other fans that are good:

Silverstone AP121

Silverstone AP123
Do you have the fan pushing or pulling? SP fans are good for pushing.

Do you have the 3-pin or the 4-pin (PWM) version? Only the 4-pin fan runs at variable speed. The 3-pin fan needs voltage regulation to adjust its speed.

I built one computer CLC where the stock fan was defective and I replaced it with a Corsair PWM fan - it worked great and the fan was very quiet.

Thanks for the reply Karsten!
I have a Push set up, I wish i knew that about the pins before I bought them!
Oh well I should be able to return them.
Can you suggest a fa that will not loose any performance over stock but Will be a touch quieter?
Stock fans sound like I have a helicopter on my case but they do function well.
