yeah what ^ these guys ^ said. honestly i doubt anyone here has heard of that gadget hero paste. i would just get a known brand (arctic silver is a solid choice like they said). thermal compound is so cheap (and so important to have a trusted brand) theres really no reason to try to bargain hunt for it.

Agree, +1 props for all the above. Since you buy and use it once it is a minor cost in building a system. Arctic Silver would be a better choice in my opinion also.

that paste is hard for me to sell short on and cheap whatever brand could cost you more in the long run of a lot of unnecessary headaches

That compound is not good at all, a friend in Singapore used that because he got 80*C temps after a year on a new board and cpu. He used that and his temps were 90*C after 2 months. Please I don't advise.

i would use mayonnaise before i used that stuff. seriously, mayonnaise works, though not ideal can be used in a pinch.

hard to say the name brand stuff is what I would try to go with look over these tests and others you can find and pick one in your price range , but even in theses tests a lot could of been how it was applied and any changing factors during these tests ..

just do the best you can and try to stick with a known brand name

Just as a bit of reference if you spent twice as much you would get about 5 degree better results. MAYBE as comparisons need to be done under very controlled conditions. If you are not overclocking the difference may not matter. As long as you are able to keep the cpu withing its safe temp. range all will be good.
