So the story goes like this. I tried partitioning my HDD and messed up and both MFTs got corrupted. I used DMDE to recover my files and formatted the HDD. I also bought an SSD on which I want to install Win7.
Now every time I press Install Now it gives me an error saying "A required CD/DVD drive device driver is missing" I have no idea what it's talking about! There's nothing wrong with the CD since I used to to install Win7 on other computer. I even plugged the SSD into another computer and installed Win7 successfully there but when I put it back it BSODs right after Starting Windows. I tried unplugging the SSD to install on my HDD still error.
I tried looking up drivers for the CD drive (hp SW810) fed him that when it scans it says "No device drivers were found" until I deselect the Hide drivers that are not compatible then it sees them when I select one of them it says wrong driver. I get the same error weather I try installing from a CD or a USB.
Tried installing Linux but it said something about the partition and hung up with no progress.
Please can someone tell me what the hell is wrong with my computer and why can't I install Windows on it!!!???
EDIT: So some progress I got SATA drivers frome here: http://www.asrock.com/mb/AMD/970%20Extreme4/?cat=Download&os=Win764 and it seemed to like them and let me select which hard drive to install on. When I selected my SSD it said some error with the drivers again and sent me to look for more drivers. I put in a CD I got with the SSD but that didn't have any drivers on it. Go figure. NOW after I press Install Now it's the same story with the drivers except this time it tells me "No new devices could be found. Make sure the driver files are correct..." What gives?
