Hi !

I have a Toshiba 750GB 2.5" HDD. It stopped working a few months ago.

Then :

I tried to recover the data in it then but was unsuccessful . I tried testdisk, BIOS updates, BIOS related software and everything. It showed up as corrupted and I was able to see the partitions and space occupied in each partition but not recover it. In some software I could see the files but not recover them. And there is a small rattling noise inside the HDD

Now :

But now the HDD is not recognized at all. The small rattling noise still persists. It does not show up in the BIOS or testdisk or any software. My mom is really angry that I lost the photos of our vacation. I don't want to fix the drive, I just want to recover the photos in it. So I really need your help and thanks in advance.

I've provided a link for the image of my HDD so you can see the model number or whatever you need to know.

I would guess that it's toast. There's companies that will retrieve your info for big $$. Disks fail... that's why smart people spend money on backup drives and keep backups. Try talking to the disk mfgr for ideas?
