Yes you should check your power supply.
What brand do you currently have? What wattage?
Do you have the exact model?
I know you opened another thread/question about GPUs.
If you go for the 270x or 280 I would go for a Corsair HX series, or EVGA Supernova G2 or B2.

i have intex it-214 motherboard,with 20+4 pin and sata..but how will i know how much voltage it can hold or what is the maximum power supply
