Starting about August, my PC starting powering down randomly (No shut down sequence, just a black screen). I looked around and figured it was the power supply, so I replaced it and my problem was solved. However, after about 3-4 weeks of no problems, the same thing has happened again. I would guess this new PSU is faulty, because it was fine for an extended period of time, but I'm not sure. The PC will also not turn back on unless I unplug the power cable for a few seconds before plugging it back in, which happend with my old PSU.

I checked the motherboard, changed RAM, re-installed windows and it continues. I'm pretty sure I will get to a stage where it will shut off and not turn back on (which is what happened with my old PSU). My temperatures are fine (glorious winter temps) and the fan on the back of the PSU is working, so it's not heat damage.

Specs:
ASUSTeK Computer INC. M5A78L-M LX V2 (AM3R2)
AMD FX-4100
465GB Seagate ST500DM002-1BD142 ATA Device (SATA)
8.00GB Dual-Channel DDR3 @ 803MHz
1024MB ATI AMD Radeon HD 7700 Series (Sapphire/PCPartner) (HD 7790)

The replacement power supply was bought from a shop near my house, because a delivery would leave me 5 days without a PC. It is manufactured by a company called "Evo Labs", who I have never really heard of before, which makes me suspicious of its quality. I would also like to add that the wattage of the new PSU is suitable for my system (550w), but again, its quality is questionable.

My question is: Is this a PSU failure like I suspect it is, or should I do some more checks on the other hardware? A quick answer would be appreciated, because if it is a PSU fault, I will need to get a new one as soon as possible!
