I have been experiencing this issue for about a month. After a while then audio across all things, games, videos, and music, all played multiple ways, develops an occasional crackling noise. When this first happens, it doesn't happen very often. However, as time goes on, the occurrences become more numerous.

It is especially prevalent when I am listening to music, or watching a video, and then changing web pages.

My first though would be an overloaded CPU. However, monitoring my CPU usage shows nothing I would consider to be a red flag. No large spikes (a small one though) or heavy usage. My normal usage can take up about 10 to 35% CPU usage according to Windows Task Manager. However, the issue seems to occur regardless of current CPU usage.

I have also tried virus scans with Avast and Malwarebytes, and those had no results. The only solution I can find is to restart my computer. This fix is coming more often however. Initially requiring a restart only every few days, then every day, now I am having to restart around twice a day.

I have tested this with two different audio devices, Razer Tiamat 7.1, and Logitech Z506. I have also tested it on two browsers, Firefox and Chrome (Chrome being my primary). As well as two media players (VLC and Windows Media Player).

My CPU is an Intel i5-3330.

Thank you in advance.
