Why do I have to set the maximum processor state at 50% on my 4.2 Ghz 4170 FX processor? If I keep it at 100% during game which is the default settings. The computer begins with a ticking sound maybe from the power supply then shut down.

I have a 600 watt Thermaltake, Do you think if I upgraded to a 750 watt power supply there would be no problem????????

Do you think if I get a 750 watt thermaltake power supply the problem will go away and be fixed? I will be able to run the Maximum processor state at 100% without a problem?
