Hi. I want to buy a new mother board and cpu as my old one became faulty the sata ports/controllers are faulty so looking to replace one. Had my pc for 3 years now. Here is my spec

Intel I5 3470 quad core 3.2GHz 6mb cache LGA1155

Arctic cooling freezer 13cpu fan

Gtx 550ti

Coolermaster GX650W bronze gaming power supply

Gigabyte z77X-D3H DDR3 LGA1155 sata 3 USB3

Seagate 1tb data 3 64mb 6gbs

8gb Ddr3 Kingston 1600mhz ram

Use this to play games as we'll as for work as well .

i have found 3 from overclockers

i7 4790k and asus maxiumum vii ranger or £370
i7 4790k and gigabyte z97x UD3H BLACK edition - £370
i7 4790k and gigabyte z97 gaming 7 - around £350

which should i go for. need some recommendations
thanks

Forgot to mention im not really into overclocking or anything. Just want a solid cpu and motherboard of high quality and features to last me a few years so trying to future proof it if you get what im trying to say.

If you are dead set on the i7 that is a nice pick. i5-4690k would perform quite well once overclocked to match the i7.

Those motherboards are of the highest quality, but there is room for some savings depending on the features you are after.

Look into the ASUS MAXIMUS VII HERO, which has a few less features but is still built for overclocking.

Z97X-SLI is much cheaper from Gigabyte, also a Gaming 5 and Gaming 3 that are cheaper.

Thanks but I want to future proof it. Don't want tobspend another 100 next year that's why going for the i7 and a high quality motherboard. Was hoping if you can sugest other mothe boards perhaps cheaper but of good quality.
