Well i'm buying this PC
http://www.bestbuy.com/site/asus-essentio-desktop-12gb-memory-2tb-hard-drive/5818029.p;jsessionid=797967FFA5084FC0E5F9D7D173E53DDA.bbolsp-app02-152?id=1219159703153&skuId=5818029&st=pcmcat287600050002_categoryid$abcat0501000&cp=1&lp=1

Looks really good in my opinion. What upgrades should I make? I'm thinking of getting a new graphics card and maybe a CPU cooler? I don't know if it has one already. Also more fans? I want to use it almost all day without overheating so what should i buy for that??

Solution
Made some changes. The 4790 isn't worth the extra $50 or so over the 1231v3. Ram voltage is too high for this system. Changed the SSD to a 256gb, for less $$, and still a decent drive. No need for a Z97 board, as you cannot overclock a non K series CPU. Changed out the USB Wifi adapter for a more reliable PCI-E one.

I do not recommend you get it. It will have a cheap motherboard . You want al least a GTX 760. Your better off building your own. It may cost a little more to get an i7 machine but it will be a lot better. That said you can go this route if you really want to. But I would get an extra warranty. 3 year. So if you have one year that comes with it add 2. see if you can order it with a Gtx 760 Ti.

No, you can't customize the GPU, I will do i manually when I get it. I will not build my own I think this one is a pretty good deal since it's not expensive and I will upgrade it little by little.

i honestly cant condone getting a "best buy" pc either. i mean, yeah it'll work. but you can learn to build your own in like a day after watching a few youtube videos and you'll probably save some money doing it as well.

and yeah the motherboard will be a PoS one. and the case it comes in...may as well forget about upgrading in the future...

1) It has a cheap motherboard and a cheap power supply. You don't want to cheap out on either.

2) There's absolutely no advantage to an i7 over an i5 for gaming, and that one in particular is horrible - the 'S' parts are significantly slower than normal.

3) You'll be able to build a far better computer for the same price as what you're spending on that plus a graphics card plus a power supply, you won't have to deal with OEM crud, and you'll get to be proud of yourself.

Building a computer yourself is actually really easy - it's like LEGOS for adults, but even easier, since everything can only fit into one place!

tbh that PC is a ripoff!!! for close to 900$ you can get an insane gaming rig if you build it yourself
also in that case you will have every high end GPU like gtx 980 overheating and dying there is NO airflow

There are many many threads on this board of people who bought prebuilt and spent a lot of money modifying it or giving up on modifying it.

Motherbaords are not the same quality
PSUs are low quality (the GTX 750 only requires a 300 watt psu)
Airflow will be very limited
Upgradeability is low
Fan sizes and placement wont be optimal.
Cable manamgnent is little to none
GPU depth is limited. It is quite likley it wont even support a 970 or 980 like you hope to use.

In the end you will spend more money to by it and upgrade it with less results then you would to just build a pc in the first place. Like i said this forum is filled with users who went down this road and regreted it in the end.

Where it is coming from doesn't matter. It is an Asus branded desktop that could just as easily be sold at a Microcenter, or on Newegg. I don't like Best Buy, but putting down a PC, based on where it is sold, is kinda silly. The OP doesn't want to build their own, apparently. OP, if you want a real gaming system, and do not want to build your own, maybe take a look here instead.

i wasnt putting it down based on where it was sold. thats why i used quotes. cha cha chill
but at least you can rest assured it will have an asus motherboard in it. its better than motherboards that...like....dell puts in their computers thats for sure

One, the OP is apparently not knowledgeable enough to overclock. Two, it is basically an i7 4770 without IGP. Three, the first rig they were looking at had an i7. Four, the extra threads of the Xeon will make the system last a bit longer. Five, Xeon runs cooler than an i7, since it lacks IGP. ;)
