Hello,
I created a forum post a few days ago about my problem with my new monitor and experiencing less fps than with my old monitor. Both monitors had the same resolution of 1920x1080 and games like BF4 can be unplayable at higher settings with fps ranging from 15-40 whereas with my original monitor I could hit 40-60. My old monitor was a 27 inch Acer and my new one is an ASUS 24 inch.

Some games such as Far cry 3 run the same as the old monitor around 50 fps, but BF4' fps has massively decreased. And even games like Orcs Must Die 2. These are my specs:

EVGA gtx 760 super clocked
Corsair 750 watt PSU
Intel i3 3240
ASUS p8z77-v lx
Corsair 750D chassis
Corsair 8gb RAM
250gb SSD
1tb HHD
Windows 7 Home Premium

I also have two monitors currently plugged into my 760, but I only game on one. But would having two monitors decrease fps even though one is on my desktop. Or would the port on the GPU make a difference in fps. Would buying a gtx 970 help, or possibly SLI 760.

Thank you for any suggestions,
Chaz.
