Best motherboard for around 150$

The 3 brands I've had the best luck with for gaming rigs are ASUS, Gigabyte, and MSI. ASRock is a good option too I've just not had as good a luck with it. I would get a Z97 chipset what ever model you get.

As long as its compatible and has good reviews from many customers, its a good choice. I can see on newegg.com that the z97-A is a good motherboard. Now you just have to make sure it offers all the features you might want like an onboard LED or UEFI BIOS or support for multiple graphics cards and etc.
