I dropped my Acer laptop few days ago and the screen cracked, but the mouse also stopped working so I turned it off and on, but on the startup screen, it's stuck at attempting repairs. Will it start working if I replace the screen, or would it be a piece that moved during impact?

If the mouse isn't working you probably damaged one or more of the internal sensors. Since it can't get past trying to initialize the drivers for a hardware component that has a damaged sensor it's probably hanging at that point of the recovery. You will probably need to take it to a repair shop or replace it.

There's not a lot that can be done once by you once the internal sensors or other components have been damaged. There could be broken solder points or even damage to the motherboard if you dropped it hard enough to crack the screen.
