My system:

FX 8350 @4.0 GHZ
CORSAIR 2X4GB 1600MHZ CL9 RAM
SAPPHIRE DUAL-X OC R9 280X
GIGABYTE 970A-UD3P
AOPEN 650W 12V 624W 52A BRONZE PSU
SAMSUNG EVO 840 250GB SSD (OS INSTALLED)
SAMSUNG HD753LJ
WINDOWS 8.1 X64 CORE EDITION.

Hi, I had Coolermaster Seidon 120v watercooler for my fx cpu but it broke and I have been waiting for its repair for one month so used my amd stock cooler since then, I didn't play any games or render anything, just used for my pc for internet surfing in this time. Sometimes my cpu reached up to 75c temprature severel times for 1~2 minutes nothing happened at that moment but my pc started to freeze randomly in last days and nothing happens so I have to reset it. OS doesn't give any bluescreen or something like that for the freezes, probably thats because Im using windows 8.1 ?

And last night, while my pc is booting up, after the mobo logo screen I have got blue distorted screen instead of windows and I thought my gpu broke, after resetting my pc everyting went right.

All of these problems occured after I replaced my cpu cooler with its stock cooler. Before that, I could play games and encode and render things with no problems. Are these problems related to the CPU or PSU ? All of my components except psu and storage hdd was bought 6 months ago.

What could be the problem ? All my drivers and windows are updated. Also I have noticed a whistling sound from my psu when I put my gpu in bencmark I belive, it's 3 years old.

Update: While I was benchmarking my gpu with furmark, same freeze happaned again and after the freeze screen gone. Now I'm still benchmarking but nothing happaned

I know that temprature is hot for it but why does my pc freeze even there is no process or anything ? It froze an hour ago while my cpu and the other tempratures are cold.

I couldn't do memtest because there is no monitor in my home so my TV doesn't show boot menu because of the low resolution.

And also I can't test my cpu with prime95 because of my stock cooler I don't want to burn it

Yes you're right but whatever I select in prim95 , the temprature still reaches up to 70c and It's scaring me and I am sure I did apply the thermal paste good. Is there any manual option to test my cpu lowly ?

It's never crashed during p95 test I've just stopped test the test immidietly after I noticed the very high temps.

Yes I always used the dot method without spilling around and did this several times. The reason I can't reapply it right now, I am out of thermal paste.

Yes It seems so, as soon as I get my cooler back (I believe on monday) and borrow a monitor, I will write it here.

By the way, I am open to any other suggestions

Thanks.

Well I have my CPU cooler now. I ran CPU and GPU benchmark at the same for one hour and didn't got any freeze and also I have found what my problem was, I disabled the turbo clock/boost thing in order to keep my cpu cool but I didn't notice that my cpu undervolt itself so that was the problem I believe. I will get myself a new psu as soon as possible though.
