Hello, So just looking for advice on temps :( I got an overclock and its stable. No BSOD's yet but when I run prime95 after 3 minutes temps hit 69 degrees celsius(according to HWinfo). I promptly stopped the test when it hits that high and the temperature drops like someone is pooring liquid nitrogen on my cpu lol. Im using a CM seidon 120m for the CPU. I dont have great air flow though. I have 1 input fan and the rad with a 120m fan pulling air through it as an exhaust fan. So just wondering if there is anything I can do to drop the temps? I played minecraft for a bit and it wouldnt budge over 41 degrees. Ill have to test out Bf4 next and see how that goes.
CPU- amd fx 8320
MOBO- asus m5a97 normal :D

Is that socket temp? Or is that core temp? First of all on Hardware monitor cpu temp is socket temp. Package temp is the core temp. Your core max is 61.1 degrees Celsius. Keep your socket max @ about 70 degrees Celsius or less. Almost all 8320's can do 4.0 GHZ on stock voltage. You need to cool your Vrm's with a small fan. That will help you out since yours are 4+1 phase. Your cooling should be ok.

You need to post your specs. Also what is your voltage@. I also have some not so good news. Your Mobo is a
4+1 Phase board. Not really for overclocking. But with the right adjustments you can do a little. You will be close to maxing your board if not maxing it out.

ok
CPU fx 8320
CM seidon 120m cooler
GPU XFX DD r9 270x
MOBO asus m5a97
16gigs of DDR3
think thats it
and im running 1.36voltage I think. Ive seen multiple people overclock on this board and its varients though? I know its not very good which is why im only aiming for 4GHZ ish.
oh and this is a REALLY stupid question. on HWinfo for the actual cpu temps am I suppose to look at CPU or under my proccessor? theres a tab for temps and the one thats called CPU is what ive been looking at. but theres also another tab called AMD FX 8320 and ithas a temp but its really low compared to the other?? im just realizing that the temp one has mainboard on it so CPU is probably the socket? if so that means that my socket is really hot?? my maximum CPU temp was 69 and my maximum temp under the actual fx 8320 is 57 :I
