Which ext hard drive should I get ?

I was thinking to get myself Samsung M3 1TB but I have heard that is not good and it can easily fail is that true ?

Not every hard drives are avaible in my country so which one of these do you suggest or should I got with the Samsung one ?

Samsung 2,5" 1TB M3
WD 2,5" 1TB Elements
Seagate 2,5" 1TB Expansion
Toshiba 2,5 1TB Canvio
Toshiba 2,5 1TB Store E Partner

Which and why ?

I will be using on both usb 3.0 and usb 2.0 computers so I don't want to get any trouble while using it with very old usb 2.0 pc.

USB 3.0 devices will work in USB 2.0 ports no problem. I am partial to WD because I haven't had any of their drives fail on me but that is anecdotal and plenty of people swear by Seagate for the same reason.

Hi there Vulmaro,

As Because0789 already mentioned, all these drives will work fine in USB 2.0 ports. As all of them have the same storage capacity and more or less the same characteristics. So, you should base you choice on the price range of the device and on its limited warranty(kind of a measurement for reliability).
