Computer emits two loud beeps on HDMI, works fine on VGA

A desktop computer of mine has just started to spaz out on HDMI. When HDMI alone is connected to the graphics card, the system doesn't boot and simply emits two long beeps and sit there, fans spinning.

If I use VGA or DVI, the system boots completely fine. I have also tried switching to HDMI from VGA or DVI while the system is running, but that causes a black screen.

This is a new graphics card, not a high end one, it has been fine for a month or two.

I'm pretty confident the card is faulty, but I'd just like to get a second opinion before I send it back. Thanks in advance.

Cable issues could be the cause, Did you try another known working hdmi cable? those things can short out and cause drama. But your probably on the right track. Power supply woes will cause this as well.

Remember Beep codes can tell a whole story in themselves. Look up the pattern of beeps, enable error logging in the bios, check to see what they capture.

Thanks guys. I've tried 3 different TVs and 4 different cables, same result. I swapped out the card and it works fine now! It sucks that it would just play up like that, but them's the breaks.
