How to correctly update the BIOS?

A real long story short, I took in my Asus P8Z77v lx in for repair in July... it was lost. It looks likely I might finally have a replacement today or tomorrow. I am receiving an Asus P8Z68-V Pro Gen 3, which I am not overly happy about, but I'm OK just to get my PC up and running again. I have little interest in spending any more money, hence why I haven't upgraded from Ivy Bridge.

So, the board is a good 2 years + old. How do I correctly update the bios? Do I need to walk through older updates? Or can I kick directly to the latest update?

Thoughts? I am running it with an i5 3570k.

Splendid
if it is off any comfort that was a really popular board and the one i am currently using. never had an issue and i am running a i5 2500k. it has pushed my chip stably up to 5.0 GHz, maybe more but my CPU cooler cannot handle it.

also no issues with overclocking ram and the CF 7950's worked great also (now using a gtx 970).

bios is great and overclock.net has an owners club with great instructions strictly for that board.

and yes just the most recent bios needs to be flashed.

thanks guys, glad to hear your comment FKR. True to form, the motherboard wasn't in the shop for me to pick up. Paul - I live in Auckland, so if you want to know where not to go for help, just ask... I seriously dropped my old mobo off in July, was expecting a 1 week turn around. It's nearly november and I still don't have any hardware back..!
