SCREENSHOTS & SPEC AT THE BOTTOM \/ \/ \/ \/ :)

Hello, I've been having a persistent and temperamental problem with my computer crashing. I was hoping I could find some PC tech wizards to hell me on this journey of hopefully resolving the problem because I've frankly had enough of trying to fix it myself without any help.

Okay so by crashing I meant BSOD and sometimes just crashing and restarting itself. I was on windows 7 and i formatted back to windows XP and the problem is still proceeding straight off the bat on a fresh installation.

note: this setup i have WAS working at one point for a good few years. something is probably on it's way out as my components are very old but I'm trying to figure what the problem is.

I have tried installing to multiple hard drives and used different RAM sticks and the problem still arises so i don't feel that it's either of these. i do feel that it is the motherboard for some reason but it could also be the GPU or something else completely for all I know.

NOTE: as I mentioned about it being a temperamental crash, it DEFINITELY crashes a lot more often (pretty much guaranteed) when transferring data at a fast rate i.e. downloading games from steam. it also don't seem to be too fond of streaming media either.

I have unplugged all unnecessary components.

I will do any commands or checks necessary in order to help provide more information if you help me extract it.

all help welcome and all help appreciated of course. thankyou.

Looks like your C-Media Audio WDM Driver are the cause of 10 of these crashes. cmudax3.sys - 0x0000000a. These should also be updated the drivers are from 2009

Your Atheros L1 Gigabit Ethernet drivers are also crashing - l160x86.sys - 11 times. These should be updated too. Theyre from 2009

HdAudio.sys is crashing with a 0x000000d3 stop error - These drivers are also from 2009

If this is XP is SP3 on it?

Wouldn't be surprised if this is causing one of the crashes Razer Tarantula Keyboard Driver

Razer make crap drivers. And this VKbms.sys something else belonging to Razer

Hi sorry, I couldn't reply since I uninstalled the ethernet driver and couldn't use the net like a moron :D

I did already remove the media drivers. and the sound card. as I figured it was unnecessary and could have been one of the problems, which it was!

I assume the HDaudio thingy is the Realtek motherboard audio driver I installed maybe?

and i'm on XP SP1? i think. i can only see sp1 in add/rem programs. and .net framework 3.5.

I kind of had a gut feeling my Razer lycosa keyboard was involved somehow! as it's defective and sometimes particular keys stop responding or it does other buggy things. but i have NOT installed any razer drivers which seem rather odd. could it be potentially crashing just for having it plugged in?

i installed it by disc and chose 'don't make changes to files' or something. where it asks for you to partition etc.

also, should I go ahead and remove all that crap from add/remove programs and that will be enough?

and then try get the latest drivers from the asus site? even though those may be later drivers but still very old.

okay, I'll go ahead and try get sp3 and update drivers to the latest ones available from asus's site. and let you know if the problems are gone :)

thankssssssss!

Looks like ndis.sys is crashing. Uninstall ASUS probe. Looks like processr.sys maybe crashing too. Looks like this maybe CPU related. And may have something to do with ACPI or something

Is the BIOS up to date?: Did you uninstall the programs above not just delete their folders?

Does this support anything like Cool n quiet or something? It looks like this option can cause a oxooooood1 stop error

I don't have asus probe installed! also, ACPI is enabled and I think i recall maybe enabling it actually, a long time ago when I was trying to make a 'hackintosh'

I'm not too sure how to update the bios.

and yeah it supports cool 'n' quiet. I'll disable that if it's enabled in bios.

thanks!
