I am considering buying a Mac and I plan to game on it. So I need to know if 1 GB of GDDR5 RAM on a AMD Radeon HD 6770M will do the trick to be running games on mid to high setting on 1080p at 60 FPS. Also I need to know if this will stand the test of at least 6 years. Also there will be 16 GB of DDR3 1333MHz ram in it too.

In today's games... you'd need at least two if you want to game on a higher quality. But yes, it should suffice playing games on low to medium quality.

May I ask why you want to buy a Mac instead of building your computer?

No, 2GB GDDR5 is becoming the standard, even 3GB is a good bet. Now I am sure you know this, but Mac isn't the best platform to game on. I recommend a newer card as well. That is kinda old. If you want a future proof system, go for the newest now.

In basic it does not stand now let alone 6 years.
