is eBay a reliable for PC parts?

Solution
Like what dane332 said, it really depends on the individual seller. Iv'e actually bought more PC parts new and used through eBay than I ever have through other retailers like Newegg. I just recently bought a used 8GB stick of G. skill DDR3 ram on ebay for no more than $55 and worked just like a new stick. But, again, the best thing to do if your unsure about a particular seller is to check out their seller page and flip through the positive/negative feedback. Always make sure that the seller allows returns in case you receive defective parts! But most importantly buy with caution and read the descriptions carefully, some sellers intentionally leave out information for their own benefit.

Its mostly about checking out the seller. i buy parts on ebay all the time. in fact almost all my computer has come from ebay. Each sellers are hit and miss some are great and correctly describe the parts problems and condition. Others will leave out details and such.

I've bought three video cards from eBay and have never had a problem.

I just bought an R9 290 a couple weeks ago and it's been working fine.

As mentioned, just make sure the seller is reputable. I suggest finding someone that has at least a 99% rating (might seem high, but they're not rare) and try to avoid any items with the description that says "used for mining" anywhere in it. Doesn't mean a description without "mining" will be safe, but at least you have some form of protection.
