I'm planning to buy this computer: http://www.amazon.com/Dell-Inspiron-i3531-1200BK-15-6-Inch-Laptop/dp/B00KMRGF28/ref=psdc1_t1_B00LAGGR3W_B00KMRGF28
and also planning to upgrade the RAM to this: http://www.amazon.com/Kingston-HyperX-Impact-1600MHz-HX316LS9IB/dp/B00KQCOTCM/ref=sr_1_4?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1414034012&sr=1-4&keywords=hyperx+ddr3+notebook

Since I'm upgrading the RAM, I wanted to know whether the BIOS allows me to add more video memory to the graphics card.

The gc is Intel HD Graphics (basic model, on celeron)

Thanks.

Laptops usually do not have bios setting to select desired amount of memory to share with ram, unlike Desktop. Since you are using laptop, most likely you won't be able to increase the amount of graphics memory.

If you want to play a game that refuses you laptop to play, there may be a way to trick it by editing a configurations or install patches...

You may wanna try this:
