I think you're a little confused. The only end of life announcement I've seen was in relation to a particular obscure monitoring program ("Turbo Boost Technology Monitor"). Whether you have this program or not has no bearing on the actual operation of the CPU, or its ability to operate with the turbo multipliers on; it was just a monitoring program. Rest assured that your CPU can still turbo up to 4.4 GHz (providing the turbo functionality hasn't been turned off in the BIOS).
