okay so.. weird problem... I upgraded my fx 6100 to an fx 8350 thinking it would have at least a 25-30% increase in single threaded performance. I looked at benchmarks and everything, the problem is..its nothing like the benchmarks I've looked at, it seems to be underperforming and I'm positive its not my graphics cards or PSU, as i have 750w corsair PSU, and a 7870 ghz edition crossfired with a r9 270x. I upgraded because my fx 6100 was bottlenecking my 2 cards (so I thought) But the performance seems the same in games, is there something I'm not doing right? things ive tried -
-downgrading bios
-flashing bios
-downgrading driver version
re seating heatsink
-re applying thermal paste
-turning off power saving options
-turning off cores
-downclocking
-turning down/up CPU voltage
nothing is making a difference. =/ any help is appreciated here guys... to be specific it seems to be underperforming in open world games, like saints row, borderlands, watch dogs. I know watch dogs has its own issues but the other 2? I don't get it...
