So I recently bought a pair of pc headphones (with 2 jacks at the end, one headphones and one mic)

http://www.snapdeal.com/product/zoook-headphone-with-mic-zmh15/1306811795#bcrumbSearch:Zoook%20Over%20Ear%20Headphone%20with%20Mic%20ZM

and I have a hp pavillion Phoenix desktop:

The headphones seem to work correctly but the mic doesn't work in both front and back ports

The pc does not recognize the mic(no popups, recording devices show only sterio mix and line in. Microphone currently unavailable)

I have updated the drivers and still don't work.

The headphones have a TRS type Jack and the pc input is separate for Headphones and Mic not a combo jack as far as I can tell

The headphones are working with my friend's pc so they are not faulty.

Please help as i have run out of solutions after extensive googling

Probably a faulty connection in the mic wiring. It's fairly delicate and can be easily damaged in transit, during packaging or even poor QA after assembly. Zoook isn't really known for high quality products.

I'd try to RMA them if possible.

Does the mic work in your friends unit? If not, seems clear.

No it's a normal monitor with blue end cords with plastic screws(don't know the technical name but not the HDMI port)

And I understand. It's mostly some basic mistake that ruins stuff.

Yes I have plugged the right connections(and every possible connections after being frustrated)

The Headphones work, The mic dosent
