Computer shuts down during gameplay.

I have a 600 watt power supply. Maybe a 750 watt power supply would keep the computer running good during game. I went to maximum processor state under power options and adjusted it to 50% and it fixed the ticking and shut down during game. Is there another way to fix this so I can run all my settings at default?????????

What's the rest of your setup look like? GPU, processor, motherboard, memory etc. More is better. Regardless, update bios, drivers etc. Drivers need the latest bios so ignoring this part can lead to instability. If already done, make sure cpu is cleaned thoroughly, buy and use an air can as your cpu may be overheating and throttling and shutting down. Consider reseating the heat sink of the cpu then. You can replace with a quality thermal compound while you are at it after cleaning the old tim with alcohol and a microfiber cloth.
